Filter Press :

Plate and frame type filter press is used for filtering out the activated carbon treated glucose syrup. It is made of polyproplene recess / CI body with capstan type closing mechanism. The carbon syrup is passed with considerable pressure by mean of a centrifugal pump to the filter press, the filter plates are covered with polypropylene woven filter cloth, glucose syrup is filter out through the filter cloth and activated carbon is stopped in the plate gap. The size of filter press depends on the filtration area required for the plant capacity.

A verity of filter press is available with closing mechanism rachet or hydraulic, open or closed drain type, auto cleaning and auto cake discharging.
